Lost Money Owed to P.O. Box Owners

Posted on November 29, 2010 at 9:35 PM

Did you know that millions of people rent post office boxes where they receive financial statements, bills, checks and bank statements?

By renting post office boxes, individuals have some degree of privacy about mail they receive as far as financial statements and other important documents.  The down side to this, is when they close their account of rental, and often times mail is still being sent to that post office address.

Lost Money Unclaimed Checks Tied to Post Office Box

Lost money and unclaimed checks are tied to post office box addresses and are a major reason for unclaimed money.

Did you also know that there are  millions of people that rented post office boxes in the past but eventually closed their accounts for one reason or another.

Because people chose to receive their mail at a post office and after they ceased from using it, mail was still being routed to their post office box address.

This could be due to not informing businessess, banks, utility companies, insurance companies and orther organizations and financial institutions of their new mailing address.

It is even possible that some mail was already in route when the rental agreement was dissolved. Unfortunately, the owner of the rented box didn't check for mail that may have been sent there after closing their account.

Did You Receive Your Mail at a Post Office Box?

If you received your mail exclusively by renting a post office box, and you beleive that it is possible for you to have unclaimed money and checks that may have been forwarded to that address, we are extending our services to you to assist you in finding lost money and checks that maybe owed to you.  Register here for our free Search Assistance Program and we will search for you.

Unclaimed Property, Lost Money & The US Economy

Posted on August 14, 2009 at 12:10 AM

Claim Lost Money and Stimulate our Sagging Economy!  Get every family member, friend, acquaintances, neighbors, near and far to check unclaimed property listings for lost money.

If you knew how much money was available to be circulated throughout the United States, and how much this money would boost the US economy, thereby, boosting the world economy, you probably wouldn't think twice about doing your search.

What is so grand about this money is that it is not owned by the government. They are only custodians over this money until the owners claim it.  This money belongs to the American people and whoever else has a claim on it and can prove it.

Let's look at some facts about lost and unclaimed property, the value of this property and the number of people who owns it:

  • Savings Bonds:  There are unclaimed savings bonds totalling $16.7 billion.  If you know someone that has mentioned the fact that they owned savings bonds but they have either misplaced the bonds, or lost them, or even damaged the bonds, pass along this information so we can speed up the recovery of our economy.  These bonds are like money in the bank, but what good is the money if you can't access it.
  • Maryland: The state of Maryland has $800 million in unclaimed money and assets.  Approximately, 787,00 citizens in Maryland have unclaimed property listed in their names or the names of relatives and beneficiaries.
  • Pennsylvania:  Citizens of Pensylvania!  Did you know that your state is holding $1.5 billion in unclaimed property?  Have you searched for  your name on your state's unclaimed property listing?

There are many other states that have millions and some have billions of dollars in unclaimed property and lost money.  We will discuss more states in the next posting.

Breathe life back into our economy. Find money and property owed to you!

Should Lost Money Finders Be Paid a Percentage?

Posted on August 10, 2009 at 6:50 AM

What if you received a call and the person on the other end of the phone identifies themselves as a "money finder" of lost money and informs you that they have found a bundle of unclaimed money listed in your name, would you agree to pay them at least 10% of the total amount of cash found?

There are certain factors that come in to play when this question arises, such as:

  1. Were you already aware of unclaimed money listed in your name?
  2. Had you searched for lost money and was unable to find any?
  3. Would you have been able to find this lost money and claim it without the assistance of a moneyfinder?
  4. Do you know how and where to search for lost money?

Lost Money Found in Your Name

When searching for lost money, it can be and is very time consuming.  When a moneyfinder reports to you that an unspecified amount of money has been found listed in your name, it is possible that it has taken them hours or maybe even days to search different government resources to find your money.  Unless you have signed a contract and agreed to pay a percentage of the total amount of lost money found, you are not obligated to pay anyone for finding your lost money.

Locating Owners of Lost Money

If you take into consideration how much time was put into finding your money, locating you and assisting you in finding and claiming or reclaiming your lost money and assets, it would be worth a monetary compensation, a testimonial on their site, or possibly a donation to their cause would be better than nothing at all.
