Unclaimed Money Search

SITEMAP

Performing a US unclaimed money search is like a treasurehunt and you're searching for unknown treasures, treasures that have been lost, forgotten or misplaced.

Search unclaimed money databases in the United States to find money owed to you. Find lost and dormant bank accounts that you have forgotten about. The United States government has received billions of dollars from companies that were unsuccessful in contacting owners of their lost assets.

Reclaim Your Money

Reclaim Unclaimed MoneyReclaiming your unclaimed money is the next step after finding it. It is quite simple to reclaim money like income tax refunds, lost or forgotten bank accounts, paychecks and some other items with just the minimal verification of ownership such as your driver's license/state ID, and proof of last known address. But, when there are thousands of dollars involved and you are claiming this money, the government will have no doubt that you are the claimant of said property. Other types of identification maybe required. To learn the different documents required for reclaiming your unclaimed money, refer to our International Properties page for more information.  Once you get that information, you are well on your way to a potentially prosperous treasurehunt.

Our Information Listing page has a complete listing of states and their state unclaimed property offices. If you want to search for unclaimed money by individual states or on a national level, the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators site, NAUPA for short, has each state's database listing for unclaimed money.
