Unclaimed assets can be searched, located and claimed simply by linking to your state's unclaimed property database. This page, Information Listing, provides a link to each state's unclaimed property division which is usually located in your State Treasurer's office.
Search your state's listing of unclaimed assets or search state by state if you have lived in other states and you are entitled to cash money for unclaimed assets listed in your name by linking to
the missingmoney.com site and searching for your unclaimed assets.
You will learn whether or not you are eligible to receive a check in the mail for money owed to you. When searching for your unclaimed assets, you
must remember that all unclaimed money doesn't have an owner's name or their beneficiaries listed. There are properties listed as "owner unknown" which usually has the last name listed but not the first name. Other properties like estates and lost bank accounts are commonly listed as "unknown beneficiaries" because there was no information provided to decipher who was the owner of the said property. If you have questions, feel free to post them on our Comments
page.
To claim property listed in your name, review the information on our National
Unclaimed page for documents required to claim your government held assets. If you need assistance, you may register
for our Free Assistance Program to search for your unclaimed property. Free Assistance is a program designed to
assist you in finding your unclaimed assets by conducting a search for you. This service is free and you will receive the
results of our findings after we have completed the search. To find unclaimed government
cash, use the unclaimed properties database to search for your unclaimed assets.
